Do you believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth?
Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered death and was buried,
rose again from the dead
and is seated at the right hand of the Father?
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting?
If you would like to have your infant child baptized at St. Jerome, call the office to arrange a date! If this is your first child, you will be asked to take a Baptismal Preparation class to help you learn more about the Sacrament and about your call and task as Catholic parents.
If you yourself or an older child are seeking Baptism, check our page about the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Ordinarily, adults undergo a period of preparation and learning, and then are baptized at the Easter Vigil.
If you need a copy of your Baptismal certificate to be sent to another parish or for your own records, email Nicole or call the office, ideally with your name and the date of your Baptism, but at least with your name and birth date. Every parish keeps permanent records of all Sacraments celebrated there. If your personal copy of your Baptismal certificate was misplaced, we can fill out a new certificate from our records with the pastor's signature and the parish seal, which will be considered valid.
